Friday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 8th June 2018) - Always Sure (2)
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 2 Corinthians 1:20
The Bible says in the book of Isaiah 55:11,
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
The Word always works. Yesterday, we saw that the only reason why it seems like the Word fails is as a result of the recipient. In the parable of the sower, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus, likened the Word of God to a seed (Matthew 13:3-9, 18-23). The Word of God is a perfect seed; completely impeccable, and without blemish.
You see, the devil seeks to keep you bound to the elements of this world even though you are seated with Christ in Heavenly Places. The Word of God definitely tell us,
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:9.
The MSG rendering of verses 9 and 10 says,
People conceived and brought into life by God don’t make a practice of sin. How could they? God’s seed is deep within them, making them who they are. It’s not in the nature of the God-begotten to practice and parade sin. Here’s how you tell the difference between God’s children and the Devil’s children: The one who won’t practice righteous ways isn’t from God...
Know that God does not lie, and neither will He put you in an impossible situation. The reality of the life of God you have is that whatever the Word of God says about you is the absolute reality of your life.
But the devil seeks to rob you of this reality. And if you let him; he will make a travesty of the life of God in you; your life will be a far cry from the realities of the scriptures
DECLARATION
Lord, your Word would always produce in my life. I take up the initiative today; I am militarized. I experience ALL POSSIBILITIES!
