UNIBEN student shot in the head by rival cult group in Edo state

A student of the University of Benin, UNIBEN have been attacked by suspected cultists at his hostel. This reportedly happened on Saturday 24th June.

A journalist named Sapele Oghenek, the 300 level student from Delta state was said to be a member of the Eiye confraternity and was attacked by rival gang members who shot him in the head.


It was also gathered that the young man escaped the attack with the injury after being shot and ran to the hospital where he later died.

Doubts about his death has spread as some believed he still very much alive but has been hidden in an undisclosed location in order to prevent the cultists from attacking again.

Though, chances of surviving an head shot is very slim.
