Ambassadors Word Diet

Friday Daily Devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 24th August, 2018) - The love life

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Isn't it amazing to know that the greatest and most principal thing in this life is love? The AMP translation of our opening text says,
And so faith, hope, love abide [faith--conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things; hope--joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love--true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Love is the principal and chief of all. It is our staying power in God.

Little wonder scriptures in Matthew 22:36-40 declares love to be the greatest commandment of all time. Living the life of love is not an option. John 15:17 says,
These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Love is a command. You do not need to feel like it, neither do you need a reason to, just love.

The life of love is the life of God. 1 John 4:8b says,
… for God is love.

So for every time we live the life of love, we live the life of God. That is, living the love life is you living the God-life.

This is the reason why the devil cannot stand the show of true love; because, for every time you show true love, you show the fullness of God. Living the love-life stamps your victory. Your faith might get
you your victory but the sustenance of the victory is highly dependent on you living the love life.

1 Corinthians 13:1 says,
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become [as] sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

This scripture shows us that without love, everything we do, own or suffer is as good as nothing. Choose to live the love life every single day.

DECLARATION
I live the love life. I constantly walk in love, no matter the circumstance around.
