President Buhari arrives London for 10-day vacation
President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in London for a 10-day holiday.
The Nigerian leader left the country’s capital, Abuja, for London in the early hours of Friday.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo will take charge in acting capacity while his boss is away.
“President Muhammadu Buhari begins a 10 working days holiday from August 3, 2018,” his top media aide Femi Adesina had said on Wednesday.
“In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, a letter has been transmitted to the President of the Senate, and the Speaker, House of Representatives to that effect.
“While the President is on vacation, the Vice President will be in acting capacity as President.”
