Ambassadors Word Diet, 23rd August, 2018 - Be prosperous!
Thursday Daily Devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 23rd August, 2018) - Be prosperous!
Strengthened with ALL might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. Colossians 1:11
The strength God would give us must come by an understanding; that is, it must be a knowledge that is given to your Spirit. When you do not receive this strength by understanding, you would run a race without purpose and not have the reward of the race you are running.
When the strength of God is released to a man, he would do supernatural things and much more for the kingdom of God.
The strength of God is limitless. It makes a man inexhaustible (never tired). Colossians 1:9 says,
For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Whatever strength that you would access would be based on a knowledge of God's Word that you had received from God's Spirit. When you receive this understanding, be sure to speak it out to yourself. Words are programs. The more you speak those words out, the more you fortify and strengthen your conviction.
God has placed the responsibility of the kingdom on each and every one of us. He has entrusted His work to our hands. He has assigned us to see that the responsibility of the gospel is carried out effectively in every part of the world.
It takes a man with a strong conviction to be able to carry out these responsibilities God has placed on him. This is why our convictions need to be strengthened. The conviction of a man is the foundation of that man; when his conviction is affected, that man crumbles down.
This is why in this race we are running, God seeks to strengthen our conviction. From our opening text, we see that God has left nothing out in strengthening us. Strength is important in the race and in the work we are doing for God.
DECLARATION
I am strengthened by God. I carry out the responsibilities of the kingdom; I have a fortified conviction.
