Iconic American soul singer Aretha Franklin has died at the age of 76, after several days in coma.

Franklin, who has battled chronic health problems for several years, passed away on Thursday, August 16.

The legendary singer, who spent over five decades in the entertainment industry, was popular for hits like “Respect” and “Natural Woman”.

Fans had been praying for her since reports of her health challenge surfaced few days ago.
