'Support Fayemi', says Fayose as he signs 2018 revised appropriation bill into law
Governor Ayodele Fayose on Friday, signed the 2018 revised appropriation bill into law.
AsbGist Nigeria learnt that the Ekiti State House of Assembly on Thursday, passed the 2018 Revised Appropriation Bill into law.
This was contained in a press release on Thursday by Hon. Dr. Samuel Omotoso, the Chairman, House Committee on Information.
Dr. Omotoso said the passage of the revised estimates of N108.5 Billion was in accordance with the rules of the House and similar to the 2014 Revised Appropriation Bill passed by the 4th Assembly under Rt Hon. Dr. Adewale Omirin and signed into law by His Excellency Dr. John Kayode Fayemi on 15th of Sept, 2018.
He stated further that revised appropriation bills are normal in all democracy as it allows the Executive arm to make provisions for both over and under budgeted headings in their quest to operate under the laws of the land.
Governor Fayose has now called on Assembly members not to fight Fayemi, the governor-elect, but serve Ekiti and also reiterated that he did not commit Ekiti into any debt throughout his tenure.
