Live updates: INEC announces winner of Osun governorship election

INEC officials are currently set to announce the results of the Osun State governorship election rerun, and eventually the winner of the entire election.

APC troops they await the official announcement of the election results

Senator Iyiola Omisore joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and other well wishers for celebration at the Osun state government house.

The transfer of the figures collated for the candidates on Sunday is ongoing.

The transfer has been completed and collation of results from today has commenced.

Result merging has commenced.

Officials are now merging the results from the supplementary election with those collated on Sunday.

INEC has declared Oyetola the winner of the Osun governorship election after the supplementary election held in seven polling units on Thursday.
