Nigeria vs Libya: NFF confirms venue for AFCON Qualifier match
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles will play their next 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.

The three-time African champions, will battle the Maghreb nation on October 10 as they run for a place in Cameroon next year.

According to NFF source, who speaks contrary to reports, that the team’s head coach, Gernot Rohr, has rejected the venue due to its small size, said.

“I want to inform you that there is no issue about the venue for our match against Libya because we have decided to play at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna,” the source told Complete Sports.

“Coach Rohr is satisfied with the facilities he inspected and he did not reject it as reported.

“We have informed CAF that the venue of the match with Libya will be Kaduna and we are not going back on that.

“Whatever flaws observed during the inspection of the stadium will be put in place before the end of the month.”

Libya are top of the Group E standings for the qualification series with four points from two games, while South Africa are second on same points but with an inferior goal difference.

Nigeria and Seychelles, on the other hand, are third and fourth on three and zero point respectively.
