Nigeria's Ighalo opened scoring in the 15th min the after receiving a brilliant pass from the captain of the day, Ahmed Musa to put Nigeria in front.
Nigeria double their led as Ahmed Musa slot in a brilliant goal 2 mins later to make it 2-0. The Libyans put a goal back in the 35th mins to make the score 2-1 at half time.
The first period of the 2nd half was for the Libyans, as they mount pressure on the Super Eagle which paid off in 74th mins as they got their equalizer to make it 2-2.
Ighalo then scored his 6th goals in three consecutive games for the Super Eagles to end the match 3-2 in favour of Nigeria. He scored the beautiful goal, beating two Libyans defenders before slotting it home for Nigeria.
Nigeria now top the group E with 9 points, South Africa is placed second with 8 points after playing a barren draw with Seychelles in their return leg fixture on Tuesday.
