Atiku, Peter Obi visit the Obi of Onitsha, South-East PDP leaders (PHOTOS)

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Peter Obi along with the Director-General of the Atiku Campaign Organisation and former Governor of Ogun State Gbenga Daniels paid a courtesy visit to the Obi of Onitsha in Anambra State.

Atiku also received the blessings of the high revered Igbo king.

Atiku also had a meeting with South-East PDP leaders in Enugu over the choice of Peter Obi as Atiku's running mate.

According to reports, the South-East leaders had rejected Peter Obi's being named as Atiku's running mate in the 2019 elections.

The report also claimed that they were angry because Atiku did not consult them before selecting the former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi.

But, the former vice president of Nigeria has assured the South East PDP leaders that they cannot be ignored.
