Africa's richest clergyman, Bishop David Oyedepo has cleared the air over reactions that thrilled social media, after he accompanied the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to seek for former president, Olusegun Obasanjo's endorsement for the presidency in the 2019 election.

The Covenant University founder and Living Faith Church aka Winners' Chapel general overseer took to Facebook and said he has "never taken any dime from any candidate" in his life.  He said he's only "a mediator".

"I have never taken any dime from any candidate in my life. I am a mediator.

"The price of peace is quite cheaper than the cost of war.

"I belong to all political parties you belong, there is no political party in Nigeria where there are no (member of) Winners including the ones yet unformed." he said.
