Edo Assembly swears in Hon. Justin Okonoboh as new Deputy Speaker

The Edo State House of Assembly on Tuesday swore in Hon. Justin Okonoboh as the new Deputy Speaker of the assembly.

Recall that Okonoboh was impeached last year as the Speaker of the Assembly before his new position.
Okonoboh, member representing Igueben constituency in the Assembly, took his oath of office at 10:06am which was presided over by the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Kabiru Adjoto.

AsbGist Nigeria report that Edo State Assembly on Monday impeached Deputy Speaker, Victor Edoror over allegations of corruption, high-handedness, and desperation.

Osaigbovo Iyoha, the lawmaker, representing Oredo East, said that the impeachment notice was signed by 16 members, out of the 24 lawmakers in the House.
