Sunday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 25, Nov 2018) - The true witness

The spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. Romans 8:16

This scripture is presently accurate for everyone that is rightly identified with Christ Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross; everyone "that name the name of Christ."

Once a man is identified (found) in Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to him/ her and makes that life is dwelling place.

The spirit becomes the true witness and seal of a life belonging to the Lord. But every human that is not identified with Jesus has not this witness.

...And it is the spirit that beareth witness because the Spirit is truth (1 John 5:6).

A witness is one who sees or his personal knowledge of something; one called into a courtroom to give a firsthand account of an event that happened right before him.

The Holy Spirit was right there when the Father adopted you as a son. So, whenever situations and false accusations gang up against you, it is your responsibility to call up the true witness (stir Him up) within you, to give His accurate testimony over your life.

And hereby we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart and knoweth all things. 

Sometimes our heart can condemn us; bearing false witness against us, but it is our duty to assure our heart,

...speaking to yourselves in Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual songs, Singing and making melodyin your heart to the Lord.

DECLARATION
I have the true witness, the spirit of God in me. I refuse every contrary voice.
