AWCON 2018: Oshoala gets hat-trick as Nigeria trash Equatorial Guinea 6-0
A hat-trick from Asisat Oshoala helped the Super Falcons to a 6-0 whipping of Equatorial Guinea to advance to the semi-finals of the 11th AWCON in Ghana.

South Africa and Zambia drew 1-1 in the group’s other match in Accra for the former to top Group B.

Oshoala was named woman of the match following her sparkling display in the Nigerian ladies’ 6-0 win against Equatorial Guinea.

The reigning African Women’s Footballer of the Year scored Nigeria’s second, third and fourth goals in the Group B match at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Francisca Ordega, Desire Oparanozie and Rita Chikwelu scored Nigeria’s three other goals in the game.

Oshoala is the second Super Falcons player to be named woman of the match at the ongoing AWCON 2018 tournament after Ordega picked the award in Nigeria’s second Group B match against the Shepolopolo of Zambia.

The Super Falcons will face the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in their semi-final clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.
