CAFCL: Lobi Stars come from a goal down to beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1
Nigerian side, Lobi Stars, on Friday, beat South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1, in their opener of the Caf Champions League played in Enugu.
The Makurdi side came back from one goal down to win the Group A encounter of the Champions League.
Anthony Laffor netted the opener for Sundowns in the 43rd before a Yaya Kone effort leveled the score for the Pride of Benue.
As the second half started, Lobi Stars turned the game around as Ebube Duru found the net.
Lobi got to the CAF Champions League group stage after beating Kenyan side Gor Mahia in the first round tie in December 2018.
In the second game of the Group, Wydad Casablanca will face ASEC Mimosa.
