Driver caught driving down M60 with snow on windscreen in Manchester
Police are investigating this motorist who was caught on video driving with little or no visibility on a motorway due to snow on the car’s windscreen.
The unknown person was reported by a ‘gobsmacked’ road-user, who witnessed the grey Renault driving at 50mph down the M60 over Barton Bridge in Greater Manchester.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman has said they will examine the dash-cam footage to see if any motoring offences were committed.
Following heavy snowfall and ice that caused school and road closures warmer temperatures and sunny spells are on their way to the British Isles.
The Met Office has forecast that the majority of Britain will experience temperatures between one and six degrees celsius today.
Snow-covered areas of the Peak District should expect the coldest temperatures, with lows reaching approximately -8c, while London will experience highs of 5c.
Winds will be low throughout the UK with Met Office forecasters predicting top wind speeds of a mere 10-15mph on the the North-Western coast of Scotland.
While rain is expected sporadically tonight and tomorrow, sunny spells will emerge nationwide today as the early morning clouds disperse.
Tomorrow, warm winds will travel south from Scotland through the day with Glasgow to receive highs of 8c.
