“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation” Isaiah 12:3

Salvation comes from the Greek word Soteria. It refers to an experience of total victory over the devil, sin, and the world.

It is preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin or los. But amazingly, though many have received salvation, they don't have this experience in their life as they walk with God.

Our opening text shows one of the reasons for this. It likened our salvation to a well, a spring that contains water. Water nourishes, refreshes, and preserves. Without access to water, all living things will come to ruin.

In the same manner, if the God-child does not access the well of his salvation to draw water, he will come to ruin; and the Access is Joy.

Psalms 16:11 tells “thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore

Joy is a peculiarity of the presence of God. This is how the presence of God in a man's life is identified “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise…” Psalm 100:4. The MSG rendering says “Enter with the password: “Thank You!” make yourselves at home, talking praise.” This is the password; Joy.

Joy is a quality of the recreated human spirit. It is not dependent or determined by feelings or emotions but on the Word of God.

Refuse to let the dictates of life take your Joy away from you. This is what the Apostles had that made them sing and dance even in the face of distress, trials, persecution and tribulation.

Our Lord Jesus told us in John 4:14but whosoever takes a drink of the water that I give him (that is the water of salvation through joy), shall never thirst again but the water that I give shall become a spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling) within him in his spirit unto (into, for) eternal life” (AMP).
