Wednesday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 17th JAN. 2018) - No ‘Lazarus’ Christianity
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue 2 Peter 1:3
In other words, those who belong to the left side are those humans that are inimical and antagonistic to God and His system. The 'right side individuals' are those ones who would stand for Christ, and
their belief.
Let's take the two thieves crucified with Jesus as a case study. You see, I've come to discover that everything in the scripture passes a message; there is never a coincidence when it comes to the Word of God.
Notice that, the thief at the right side got saved, and got to live; whereas, the one at the left side died. It is of utmost importance that you identify with the right side of life today. There are two things that constitute the right side of life. They are; priesthood, and kingship.
Revelations 1:6 says,
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory
and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
It is so shocking how so many Christians have perverted the scriptures. I once heard a man tell another person that riches and wealth isn't meant for the Sons of God.
I was completely flabbergasted at his level of ignorance. Take a look at our opening scripture; it tells us that we have been given all that pertains to life and godliness. You cannot be a Lazarus Christian. Jesus once told a parable of a certain man, Lazarus (Luke 16:19-25).
He was a beggar, whose body was full of sores. He suffered to the highest degree while on earth, but eventually, he made heaven. So many Christians have decided to take up the lifestyle of Lazarus; suffer on earth, reign in heaven.
Understand this; you have been made a king. The only place where you would exert your 'kingly' authority is here on earth. You are a king; therefore, you must relate to life standing as a king.
As a God-child, the world has got to envy you. You are to represent God, even in your affluence. Instead of being the Lazarus Christian, be the Abraham Christian. Let your wealth compete with that of nations.
Refuse to settle for less; go beyond your limits, and be the best at what you do.
DECLARATION
I do not live a mediocre Christian life; I am a king, and I am born to rule. I identify with the right side of life; my life is a showroom of God's riches.
