Monday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 19th FEB. 2018) - The Way Of The Spirit

"If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit". Galatians 5:25

I so much love the way the AMP translation further explains our opening text,

If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit].

From the above scripture, it is clearly seen that every believer is living in the Spirit because he has been born of the Spirit.

Man is a spirit, soul and body. The real identity of a man is His Spirit not His body. Man is a Spirit that has a soul living in a body. But the irony of life is that so many persons identify themselves with their body and not their Spirit.

The body is a house. The Spirit is the real person. Going a little back in time, you see that the real identity of Adam was his Soul. But through the finished work of Christ on the cross, our identity became our Spirit.

For when God breathe into man the breath of life (that is, the residue of God's Spirit), man became a living soul. But, when Jesus came, He made man a quickening Spirit (that is, a living Spirit).

1 Corinthians 2:12 says,
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Glory to God!

We have received the Spirit which is and comes from God. By reason of man been a Spirit being, he is exposed to the effects of other spirits.

Two Spirits can never co-exist. If they ever co-exist, one of them is bound and subject to the other. This is why you should never take anything for granted. In the Spiritual realm, Spirits would always lay claim of what they believe is theirs.

Up until eternity, the devil still wants to lay claim on Jesus. You have been encrypted with the Holy Ghost and with power. You are beyond physical.

DECLARATION
I am full of God. I dispense the Spirit of God into my day and everywhere I go.
