The general elections will hold on 16 February 2019.
All primary elections have been concluded and submission of names of candidates of political parties to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ahead of next year’s elections comes to an end.

The general elections will hold on 16 February 2019. The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, has insisted that the 2019 general elections won’t be shifted.
